Sports Medicine Provider

Job Summary
The Recovery Room, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sports Medicine Provider to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports medicine, a passion for helping athletes of all ages achieve their optimal health and performance, and excellent interpersonal skills. This role involves assessing, treating and preventing injuries related to sports and exercise, as well as providing rehabilitation and guidance to patients and athletes of all levels.

Qualifications:
Required:

• Master of Science in Athletic Training or similar Health Sciences field (EG: Doctor of Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Chiropractic) from an accredited institution;
• Board certification as Certified Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, or Chiropractor
• Valid state medical license and/or ability to obtain in MA as an athletic trainer, physical therapist, or chiropractor;
• 1 - 5 years of experience in sports medicine or related field;

Preferred:

• Experience working with patients at different stages of recovery: acts of daily living, post-surgical, with medical conditions such as stroke, concussion/TBI, connective tissue disorders, 
• Experience working with athletes at all levels: scholastic/collegiate, amateur/everyday, to elite/professional.
• Advanced certifications and/or interest in obtaining:
  • Therapeutic Cupping Certification or similar
  • Graston Technique Certification or similar
  • Kinesio-Taping Certification (EG: KT Tape, RockTape)
  • Blood Flow Restriction Certification (EG: Owen’s Recovery)
  • Dry Needling
  • MSK Ultrasound
  • Other Certifications to create and administer new services (EG: sports nutrition, run coach, sport psychology/counseling, etc.)
